Spotify for Symbian updated

Spotify comes to Symbian The Spotify app for Symbian phones is still very much a new release, but its makers have just released an update, adding support for more mobile phone models and squashing several bugs.

The initial release of the Spotify for Symbian app had a few issues, and some of these are addressed in the update. Now, for instance, you can use the dual keyboards on non-touch phones. Offline tracks should also stop disappearing.

Nokia invests heavily in Swype’s touchscreen typing technology

swypeWe all know that typing messages and emails on touchscreen devices can sometimes be, well, a bit of a pain, which is probably why a lot of new devices, including the Nokia N900, have a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

That said, touchscreen typing is still a work-in-progress and it’s certainly not the finished article just yet. Nokia seems to understand this and has recently invested in a Seattle-based Tech company, Swype, that is developing some serious improvements, which if realised, will see some mighty improvements within the touchscreen typing paradigm.
