Top Five N-Gage Games of 2009
Mobile devices are so much more than just phones – they connect to you the web, grant you access to a plethora of apps and widgets, and also let you play video games on them. And seeing that it is fast approaching the end of 2009, we’ve decided to do an over view of the best games that came out this year. Read on after the jump for our recommendations…
The Sims 3
Ever wanted to be God? Well, know you can be with The Sims 3 on Nokia N-Gage. The Sims franchise is one of the most popular games to ever come out on the PC, and fortunately, it doesn’t let itself down on the N-Gage format. Where Sims 3 differs from previous outings is that you have more control over the mental state of your characters. So, what you get up to in the game – i.e: your objectives – is entirely dependent on what sort of personality you decide to craft for each individual.
Obviously, there’s a few things missing when compared to the PC version, but overall The Sims 3 on N-Gage is a thoroughly entertaining game, and one of the most addictive we’ve played this year by a mile.

Age of Empires 3
Everybody loves a good strategy game, they’re involving, challenging and rewarding – basically, they are pure gaming gold on any format. And thankfully, the addition of Age of Empires 3 has filled a rather sizable strategy game sized hole on the N-Gage platform.
We really enjoyed Age of Empires 3, finding it both engaging and difficult enough to keep us interested for hours on end. The graphics aren’t going to win any awards, but this doesn’t matter with game play this good – it’s easily the finest strategy based game on the N-Gage format, and you have endless fun commanding a Maltese army during the famous Ottoman siege.

Worms World Party
Like The Sims, Worms is one of the most popular game series in history – you’d be hard pressed to find someone who hasn’t played it, especially now that it is available on a variety of platforms. So how does it fare on the N-Gage? Well, as you’d expect, it fares pretty damn well, all the elements of the original game are there and even a few added extras, which is always nice.
Possibly the best aspect about Worms World Party, bar the actual game itself, is the fact that you can play online inside the N-Gage Arena against people from all over the world. Now if anyone played Worms when it first came out, before the internet was what it is today, then you’ll know how cool this is – Worms was always meant to be played like this, and for this reason, it is massive must have.

Real Football 2009
After playing FIFA on the N-Gage we were a little disappointed – they general game play is very shonky and hardly something you’d spend time getting to grips with. Fortunately, there is another option available in the form of Real Football 2009, which despite our initial fears, is nothing like FIFA. The game play is more fluid and the controls seem to be more intuitive, which gives an overall more “organic” feel to things. Real Football 2009 is all about passing, strategy, and scoring jaw-dropping goals, and for this reason, we absolutely loved it.

Reset Generation
We couldn’t do a Best Games list without including the cult-hit Reset Generation. Possibly one of the most groundbreaking games on the N-Gage format, Reset Generation is a massive game, taking elements from every type of game possible and meshing it together in one tight-little bundle with interesting characters, a brilliant story line, and some of the best dialogue we’ve seen on any game. In short, if you haven’t got Reset Generation, get it. You are missing out on one of the best games around at the moment, on any platform.
