Nokia 6700 Classic in Review: Solid design & functionality
The Nokia 6700 Classic launched back in June this year and since then has gone on to become one of our favourite devices released by Nokia this year. The Nokia 6700 Classic features a classic Nokia chassis and near perfect functionality, combined with both a solid and lightweight finish. Needless to say, we really enjoyed getting to grips with the Nokia 6700 Classic…
One of the first things we noticed about the device itself was its metallic-chrome finish, which really set it apart from the crowd in our eyes. In addition, the chrome finish gives the device an inherently smart look, making it the perfect choice for professional and casual users that seek a more “traditional” looking device.
Another thing we liked about the Nokia 6700 Classic is its screen and size. In short, it isn’t designed for watching movies on and is only 2.2-inches, which is quite rare these days as all new devices seem to have excessively large displays – and as we all know large screens means large devices. In short, we liked that Nokia had decided to produce a more traditional device for users that want a no-nonsense smartphone.

Nevertheless, this doesn’t mean that Nokia scrimped on functionality – far from it! The Nokia 6700 Classic is powered by a Symbian S40 OS and runs a wealth of third party applications, widgets and features, such as push email, Notes, Calender, Media Player, and an FM radio, as well as up to 8GB of storage, which makes it the perfect device for any user who wishes to have all the modern aspects of a mobile device, just without the immense size of some of the higher-end devices.
In short, we loved this device and felt that it formed a perfect bridge between the worlds of smartphones and more traditional devices.
So in this sense, the Nokia 6700 Classic is the perfect device for both professional and casual users alike who demand high-end performance from their devices, just without the size and unnecessary features and applications associated with some high-end smartphones.
