Has the Nokia 6760 Slide been released?
The Nokia 6760 slide was expected to make an appearance in October courtesy of Carphone Warehouse but as far as we can tell it’s still stalled on the blocks – or is it? We’ve been doing a little shopping around and noticed that a couple of sites are already selling the Nokia 6760 Slide, even though Nokia Online still says that it’s in ‘Pre-Order status’. So is the Nokia 6760 Slide released or is it not? Find out more about the Nokia 6760 Slide after the jump..
The Nokia 6760 slide is the UK version of the Nokia Surge and is a QWERTY-toting smartphone with a 2.4-inch screen, designed to keep you in touch with your contacts via IM, email and social networking services.
We’ve been checking the Nokia 6760 Slide out, wondering if it was due for release but it seems that a couple of sites are already selling it. Play.com has it up for £189.99 (inc. VAT) and states that it’s in stock and ready to ship.
The Top Five Reasons to get excited about the Nokia 6760 Slide
What’s more, eXpansys reckons they have 41 devices in stock and ready to ship for £195.95 (inc. VAT). The thing is, Nokia still has the Nokia 6760 Slide up for Pre-Order and there has been no official release set,
So we got in touch with Nokia to see what was going on as it seems a little odd that these devices are out there and we’ve not heard about it. Nokia informed us that ‘while Play.com and eXpanys have been taking orders for the device, Nokia can confirm that no devices have been delivered to the warehouse at present.’
So, there you have it, for now, the Nokia 6760 slide remains very much in pre-order status from Nokia Online UK but that doesn’t mean it’ll be like that forever.Tempted by the Nokia 6760 Slide?
