Nokia 5230 coming to T-Mobile

Nokia 5230 announced in colourNews this week confirmed that T-Mobile is planning to launch the new Nokia N900. However, that’s not the only bit of good news T-Mobile had to announce. According to reports, the FCC has just passed a new 3G phone that looks a lot like the Nokia 5230, but contains the all new AWS 3G bands. Read on after the jump for more details.

At present, T-Mobile is the only provider that uses the AWS 3G bands, and while this is merely rumour at present there has been some pseudo-investigative work done by a cellphonesignal.com blogger.

According to T-Marco, the aforementioned blogger, details regarding the device’s battery type – BL-5J – along with some label localisation drawings match only the specs of the Nokia 5230.

While the Nokia 5230’s arrival at T-mobile is only rumour at present, it seems that evidence is gradually building to suggest it may becoming a reality…
