The Nokia N900 has been on pre-order ever since it was officially announced back in September at Nokia World 2009. We were all set to get our hands on the Maemo tablet back in October but while the hardware was willing, the software had yet to be signed-off. You’ve got to love internet rumours, one mention of ‘mid-November’ and suddenly everyone takes that as the 15th/16th of the month. However, mobile phone comparison site, Omio, has claimed that it has entered hundreds of deals for the Nokia N900 in to its database and that 16th November is the tagged date.

Now, we’ve still not had any official launch date from Nokia itself but the Nokia N900 being released on 16th November sounds like the safest bet around. Of the 102 Nokia N900 deals quoted on Omio, all of which seem to be on Orange and O2, you can get the handset free on a £35 a month contract that spans two-years. You’ll get unlimited texts and 900 free minutes with this deal.
