UPDATED: Nokia N97 mini launched today!
Remember how the Nokia Flagship Store in London claimed the Nokia N97 mini would go on sale on the 23rd October and then pull the date? Well, it seems they were right all along, as the latest Nokia press release states that the Nokia N97 mini is being launched today! Find out more about the Nokia N97 mini launch after the jump…
Nokia has erected a giant 40-foot signpost that is being hung from Tower Bridge in London that is in the shape of a giant arrow. The design is to tie in with the launch of Good Things on Ovi Maps, which comes built into the Nokia N97 mini.
The idea behind the sign is that Good Thing users can point to their favourite things, whether it’s an Art Deco building on the South Coast, a restaurant in Bristol or even a one-off gig by super-star diva Alexandra Burke.
Ovi Maps 3.0 is an integral part of the the Nokia N97 mini, offering street maps, satellite, terrain maps, and 2D and 3D views for pedestrians. It allows you to find your position, search an address or location and explore local services to get to Good Things in over 180 countries worldwide.
There has been no further word of the Nokia N97 mini going onsale and it’s still on Pre-order with Nokia Online. However, it does suggest that the mini-marvel will be with us soon, very soon!
UPDATE: Nokia Flagsip store has posted on their Facebook page that the Nokia N97 mini will be on-sale instore tomorrow – 24th October
