A little over 24 hours after the estimated price of the Nokia N900 tablet was announced at Nokia World 2009, Nokia Online here in the UK has already popped a pre-order page in place. The Nokia N900 is coming to the UK sooner than anyone thought, as Nokia Online UK has already put a pre-order page in place. What’s more, the Nokia N900 pre-order price for a SIM free Nokia N900 is set at £499 (inc. VAT), which is pretty much bang on the money for what was announced yesterday.

The Nokia N900 is a 3.5-inch touchscreen device that packs in 32GB of memory and even a 5-megapixel Carl Zeiss camera. It also packs in everything we love about the latest smartphone devices, so we get a full QWERTY keyboard, plenty of memory and HSPA connectivity all wrapped around that 3.5-inch touchscreen.

However,  where the Nokia N900 differs is that it’s running on the new Maemo 5 software, so you’ll be able to run dozens of application windows simultaneously while taking full advantage of the cellular features, touch screen and full physical slide-out QWERTY keyboard for easy and convenient messaging.
