Nokia 5530 XpressMusic launched

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic has been launched and is shipping already from Nokia. It is expected to go on general sale on 11th August. Taking it’s style from the Nokia 5800, this touchscreen device differs as it is aimed at the entry-level market. Find out more about the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic after the jump…

The Nokia 5530 XpressMusic was announced back in June as an entry-level companion to the Nokia 5800. We’ve just been checking out the Nokia Online store here in the UK and the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic has appeared and is ready to ship! Check out the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic page for yourself.

It comes with a 2.9-inch touchscreen and differs from the Nokia 5800 by having a new Homescreen and Contacts Bar as part of the interface. There is also a Media Bar that allows instant access to your multimedia, making this one of the most user-friendly Nokia phones to-date. You can only get the Black and red variant at the moment, so we’re expecting it to appear in other colours any time soon.

Aside from the touchscreen, you’ll find a 3.2-Megapixel camera, 70MB of internal memory and a 4GB microSD card shipping. The device does away with keys on the front of the device in favour of touch-sensitive Call and Function buttons.

You can buy the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic SIM free from Nokia Online for £235 (inc. VAT).

UPDATE: We’ve just been informed that the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic will be available on the high-street from 11th August courtesy of Carphone Warehouse. It will cost £129 (inc, VAT) on Pre-Pay and you’ll be able to get an 18 month contract for as little as £15 a month, which is a great price saving.
