Nokia 6720 classic now on sale!

If you can cast your mind all the way back to February you might remember we brought you news, specs and lovely, lovely photos of a feature-stuffed mid-range smartphone called the Nokia 6720 classic. Well, the wait is over and the phone has touched down in Nokia’s online store!

Available now for the sum of £259 (inc. VAT), the Nokia 6720 classic has, well, a classic candybar look to it, with a 2.2-inch 240 x 320 screen.

Flip it round and you’ll spot the 5-megapixel camera, which comes with an extended depth of field to ensure subjects remain in focus longer, plus a xenon flash and video shooting at 30fps.

Inside is A-GPS and Nokia Maps 3.0, plus a city compass and map rotation. You also get HSDPA 3G for speedy downloads and web browsing, along with access to features like Ovi Share. There’s only 50MB of internal memory, but that can be boosted up to 16GB via the microSD card slot. A 1GB card comes in the box.

Call quality also gets a boost thanks to active noise cancellation, which suppresses background sounds (traffic noise, crowds etc.) and keeps things clear.

The battery serves up around five hours of talk time, and up to 500 hours in standby. Alternatively, it will last for 27 hours of music playback, or nine hours of video playback.
