Ovi Files online storage now totally free

Formerly known as “Files on Ovi”, Nokia’s Ovi Files is a handy online storage service that gives you access to your home PC’s files wherever you are, serving them straight up to your phone. And while you’d previously have to shell out some cash money for the privilege, we’re happy to report that it’s now totally free!

In the past 10GB of online Ovi Files storage would set you back £40 a year, but as reported over on All About Symbian, Nokia has drawn a fat line through that fee, enabling you to get the same service completely gratis. Nokia will also refund any existing unused subscriptions.

One of the niftiest features of Ovi Files is Anytime Files, which allows you to access files on your phone even when your home PC is switched off. You simply pick out the folders you want to be made available anytime and an up-to-date backup copy is shifted over to a secure online storage locker.

To find out more about Ovi Files, and get it up and running, point your browser towards the Ovi Files homepage.
