Nokia N86 8MP camera review
The Nokia N86 8MP made its first appearance back in February at the Mobile World Congress exhibition in Barcelona. Since then things have been a little quiet – we’re not even sure of the release date – but it’s a device a lot of people are looking forward to.
If you want to check out the 8-Megapixel camera quality then join us after the jump…
The Nokia N86 8MP consists of an 8-Megapixel sensor that allows for images of up to 3280 x 2464 pixels to be taken. It comes with Carl Zeiss Tessar optics and third generation dual LED camera and video flash.
If that’s not enough, then check out the full tech specs of the Nokia N86 8MP
The guys over at UK Mobile Phone Blog have managed to get their hands on a pre-release sample of the Nokia N86 8MP and have put the camera through its paces. They reckon the Nokia N86 8MP ‘does an excellent job in delivering natural colours without looking washed out.’
However, what we liked most about their write up was the description of low light photos – ‘for low light conditions, as well as variable aperture, the dual LED flash also comes into its own. The flash found on the N86 is the most powerful of its type found on a phone and comes close to matching a Xenon flash commonly found on stand alone digital cameras.’
The site has some cracking photo samples too – compare them to the recent shots we touch on the Nokia E75 for real comparisons – so it’s worth checking out.

The Nokia N86 works well but once more i see a few problems with the quality.
Nokia now make there phones in CHINA and some are made in China and some are not but by 2011 ALL Nokia handsets will be made in China/sputh Korea/far east (cheap child labour).
Some people will have noticed the now lamented N82 is now made in china and the Nokia 5800 with tis gap problems are now made in china, we are now seeing more and more quality issues with screens and bits of the handset falling off.
Nokia need to re think there plans as most Nokia buyers buy for quality build, but if that is not to be the case we may have to think of nokia as the new KIA of Finland.
Nokia N86 is a great phone. Nokia continues to produce the best phones. The camera is great, as well as the screen.

Hi ,
I was concerned about the N86 Camera taking pics in low light due to the difference in flash , but then I was surprised to find that N82 and N86 produce all most same quality . Colors seem better in N86
