Nokia 5530 XpressMusic Leaked

Are the Nokia 5800 and Nokia N97 about to be joined by a third touchscreen device? Welcome to the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, which according to leaked sources will be with us by September this year.

If the rumour turns out to be true it will be interesting to see where this phone sits in the range. With the Nokia N97 clearly the flagship model, is the Nokia 5530 set to be the entry-level device in the range?

The news that a third S60 5th Edition touchscreen device may well be on the way is great news and the rumour that is circulating is that it will be the Nokia 5530 XpressMusic.

This news hits us from DailyMobile who quote a reliable ’source’ – in fact, the same one that broke a couple of Samsung phones for the site earlier this year. The news piece is very brief, covering off the fact that the phone could well be announced at Nokia World, which will be happening in September of this year.

Details on the phone are incredibly sketchy at this point and what it will actually look like is anyone’s guess but according to the source, the Nokia 5530 will come with a  2.9-inch touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM/RDS Radio, WiFi, approximately 150MB of internal memory and support for microSD.

All pretty standard at this point and nothing surprising but it does kind of suggest that the Nokia 5530 will sit in between the Nokia 5800 and the Nokia N97 in terms of spec and features. Let’s just hope that when it ships it comes with all the Ovi Store goodness we’re expecting from future devices.
