Nokia has confirmed that Ngage games will be re-worked to make the most of the new N97’s luscious wide touchscreen. The games are in the process of being given the makeover, though it’s still early days. With a powerful processor stuffed inside the N97, it’ll handle Ngage games with ease, despite the bigger screen and additional features. Some new games next year will also take advantage of the device’s accelerometer, to give that added spice.

Talking exclusively to NokNok, Jaako Kaidesoja, VP of Ngage revealed the news about the new games and additional functionality we can expect to see. He wouldn’t confirm what titles will be available, but he did say there would be games available for when the device launches, sometime in the first half of 2009. We reckon Ngage is going to be cracking on the N97. Big screen, fast processor, touch and tilt gaming – do we need more?
