Skyfire S60 browser now available in the UK

Tags: Apps, Skyfire

Skyfire promises to bring the PC web browsing experience to your mobile – so you get to look at full webpages, not cut down versions.

Until now, it’s only been available to a select few in the US and Canada, but the good news is that anyone can use it now and it’s available in the UK for the first time.

Skyfire connects your phone to the web via its own proxy service, which re-renders any content so it’s viewable on your mobile phone. This way, you don’t need to worry about things like Flash or Ajax support, as Skyfire handles this for you.

It also makes pages faster to load, as Skyfire optimises them before sending them to your handset – making it one of the fastest mobile browsers available.

Skyfire promises to let you browse full versions of sites like YouTube and even enjoy videos directly. Skyfire can also zoom and scale webpages so they look better on mobile phone screens.

If you want to give it a try, you can download it for free now from Skyfire.
