Comes with Games, Comes with Film

Nokia has revealed it is “open” to taking the Comes with Music concept to games and films. Talking to New Media Age (NMA), Comes with Music head of go to market Tom Erskine revealed that there’s “room for fresh business models with games and videos. It’s something we’re open minded about”. Okay, so he hasn’t said it’s going to happen, but we’re not talking about adding two and two and getting five here. It makes complete sense. An NGage device with a whole year’s worth of games! Where do we sign?

NMA also spoke to Sunil Gunderia, VP and head of mobile for Disney EMEA who reckoned that “Disney, with our mass appeal plus a large range of content, could be perfect for a bundled subscription offer”. It certainly makes a lot of sense and with Point and Find Movie search about to hit, it’d be a natural next step for the Nok.

EA waded in as well with European marketing director Tim Harrison telling NMA “we’re supportive of any innovative content initiatives driven by handset manufacturers”. Comes with Games sounds innovative enough to me.

Comes with Music has only just launched but we reckon Comes with Games and Comes with Film might not be far behind. Nokia won’t admit it, of course, but the hints are there and are enough to have us convinced. Now, when can we get our hands on it?
