Point and find ready to go – soon (exclusive)
We’ve just been talking to a Point and Find insider who tells us the service is all set to launch in the US and UK. Initially it’ll only be available on the N95. Movies are going to be top of the agenda, too, our man tells us that there’s plenty of material tagged and ready to get the service up and running in a pretty convincing way.
Oh, we didn’t mention that earlier did we? The service works by having images pre-tagged, so when a user finds something, the service knows what it actually is.
Now, for launch, it looks like movies will be centre stage, so ‘Point and Find’ should most likely be called something else, such as ‘Point and Find out more about this movie, such as viewing a trailer, reading reviews or buying cinema tickets’. That’d be too long and cumbersome a title though, eh!
So, when will we actually see this? “Soon” screamed the nice man demoing the service and getting us all excited. Madagascar comes out in November. Is that a clue?
