Assuage your environmental guilt, directly from your Nok
If you jet around the world a lot, it’s not just air miles you’re racking up – you’re also increasing carbon pollution with each duty free stop. Now you can help offset some of your CO2 producing ways with Nokia’s new app that lets you work out the carbon footprint for a trip and then donate the appropriate amount of money to a project to counteract it.
Nokia’s we:offset app is the world’s first CO2 emission offsetting tool for mobiles.
If you’ve got a trip coming up you can either tap in your start point and destination and let it work out the distance travelled, or just set it on automatic and let it detect how far you’ve moved based on your location.
Once it’s got a value, it’ll then work out how much you need to donate to fund projects that reduce greenhouse gases and you can then pay directly from your handset.
Grab a copy now from the we:offset site and start counteracting your carbon footprint.
