N-Gage coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3?

Now here’s an interesting rumour: it seems that Nokia could be planning on moving its N-Gage titles beyond the mobile realm and on to full-on home consoles like the Xbox 360 and PS3.

Nokia’s Aki Jarvilehto, speaking at a debate during the Develop Mobile 2008 conference, revealed that the company is looking into concepts “where we use the same assets for Xbox Live Arcade or PlayStation online.” It’s not a confirmation of anything, but it’s an interesting indicator that we could one day be playing our N-Gage titles on a 42-inch screen, as well as our mobile’s 2-inch display.

Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network are full of affordable, quick-downloading titles, so it’s quite easy to see many of the N-Gage titles fitting in – although the graphics and screen formatting might need a bit of adjustment and sprucing up for HDTVs.
