Missing Sync: your Nok and your Mac in perfect harmony

It’s been available in an unfinished beta version for a while, and now it’s out for real. The retail release Missing Sync goes on sale today – and it could be the best way to keep your Nokia synced up with your Mac computer.

The standout feature seems to be Proximity Sync, which automatically syncs your phone with your Mac as soon as they’re within Bluetooth range (around ten metres) of each other.

As you’d imagine, contacts, calendar events and tasks are all kept up to date, whether you’ve created them on the Mac or on your phone. You can also sync up music and video files from iTunes (apart from DRM-protected files) and any photos and video clips you create on your Nok will be automatically synced over to your Mac.

Given the shortage of decent syncing apps for Mac-using Noketeers, it all sounds pretty nifty. To find out more – or buy yourself a copy for $39.95 (about £20) – head over the Mark/Space website.
