Get Google Android on your N810 the easy way
It’s been possible to get Google’s mobile OS running on your N810 tablet for some time now, if you know your way around the Linux command line and programming is your second language. Now there’s an almost foolproof method that only requires downloading a couple of files to get it up and running.
If digging around the command line doesn’t strike you as an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon, hop on over to the Internet Tablet Talk Forums where your guide Penguinbait has put together everything you need.
First you have to download the android.img.bz2 file and slap it on a memory card. Then grab the android-installer.deb file and install it on your N810. This will flash the kernel and install an item in the extras menu to start Android. That’s all there is to it.
Probably best to back up your N810 just in case things go awry, and you’ll need to reflash your system if you want to take Android off later on.
