Download Store gets web based feet

After nine months in beta, the Download! For PC client has been replaced by a browser based app.

Based on feedback that’s trickled in through Beta Labs, Nokia has decided to ditch the dedicated PC download client and roll out one on the web instead.

The new Download Store is an online shop for trying and buying software when you feel like splashing out and treating your Nok. You’ll find loads of different applications, services and content available and it’s free to preview and download trial apps. If you want to keep it afterwards, though, you may have to part with some hard earned.

If you’ve got some money just burning a hole in your pocket right now, head on over to the Download Store and have a browse through what’s on offer.
