Video: NeuScreen multi-touch N95 concept demo

While it’s not quite a Tube-like upgrade to the N95, this concept demo shows some pretty funky touchscreen capabilities.

Using a couple of light wands, some camera film and a TV, developer Sittiphol Phanvilai has put together a multi-touch system for the humble N95 called NeuScreen. It’s not exactly a mobile solution just yet, as it needs the N95’s TV out to be hooked up to the telly display to work, but it certainly shows some promise.

In the demo you can see a drawing app and a 3D navigator – the navigator even supports zooming in and out by effectively grabbing the object and pulling it with two fingers. Now, if Sittiphol could find a way of squeezing all this down into a regular N95, that’d be great.
