Nokia 6212 classic debuts – flagship Near Field Communication phone!

Nokia has dropped details and shots of its first proper flagship NFC phone. The 6212 Classic looks much like a regular handset, but tap two of them together and you’ll be exchanging phone numbers. And with your credit card details stored on the handset and accessible at any time, your 6212 Classic also becomes your train ticket much like an Oyster card and you could be able to pay for small items by simply swiping your mobile.

Nokia will start shipping the 6212 Classic in the third quarter of this year, and comes loaded with extra talents including 3G, a 2 megapixel shooter, 2-inch QVGA display, stereo FM radio and music player. Plus it sucks up microSD cards up to 4-gig in size.

We’ll be getting hands-on with it shortly, so stay tuned for a close-up update soon.
