Nokia to launch video store next month?

So the Californian fruit company is promising the world movie rentals over t’Internet (okay, the US with the rest of the world to follow). So, what does that mean for the Nok? We’ve had the Mission Impossible N93 and the Spiderman-laden N95 8GB, but what of the future?

If Apple has managed to make a dent in the movie studios, along with Microsoft Xbox (who was it who described movies types as media whores?) surely it’s only a matter of time before we see something from Nokia.

There’s been little talk of it, but when we posed the question to our contact yesterday we weren’t met with a “no way” or a “you’re nuts” but a shrug and a wry smile. Which surely means there’s something coming. Mobile World Congress is only a few weeks away and we’re bound to be hearing more about Ovi over there. Question is, will the new services include video? Our chips are on black for a win but for now we’ll have to wait and see.
