Nokia’s latest little experiment

The boys and girls in the Beta labs have been busy rolling out another new app. At first glance, Nokia PC Phone looks like a complete waste of time. Think again though, and it’s much less so.

See, Nokia PC Phone isn’t some skype-calling bunch of uselessness. It effectively enables you to control your Nok from your web browser. Why? Well, computers these days have decent mics and speakers so why not? The software will suck all your contacts and such over the wired or bluetooth connection, making it a cinch to make calls or fire off texts.

We’re not big fans of bluetooth headsets and given that our mobiles ARE our desk phones, this is actually a blessing in disguise. Now, if we could just get it to work (N95 users, look away now!)
