Free WiFi for Nokia Music Store customers

Nokia’s just inked a deal with WiFi gods, The Cloud, to allow free WiFi access to Nokia Music Store customers.

No, this isn’t some mighty free-for-all, it simply means you’ll be able to download tracks for nada when you’re near one of The Cloud’s hotspots. It’s kinda like the deal the fruit company did with the coffee company, but not quite as snazzy. Afterall, when’s the last time you enquired about what music was playing in McDonald’s (home of many a The Cloud hotspot), let alone felt the undying urge to buy it.

Anyway, it’s still a good thing which has us thinking. If Nokia is going to cut a deal for us so we don’t have to pay for the music (See Comes With Music) and the network will give us the phone without us having to pay, and The Cloud will let us download said FREE music for FREE, what’s the point of being a journalist?
