Nokia touchscreen phone! Exclusive
We’ve just got our hands on a new snap of the Nokia Touchscreen and we reckon it looks a right killer device (some might even say, iPhone-killer). Sure, it’s a mock up, but the look is definitely Nokia and it’s come from a Nok insider so it ain’t a fake.
The shot is showing off the new device’s accelerometer, which freakishly knows the right way up. Now, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’ll have seen the MovingBall demo showing off the N95’s accelerometer. Well, it looks like that’s only a dry run for things to come.
See, we’re mere weeks away from seeing N-Gage hit the streets (okay, four weeks more than we were expecting) and insiders have started suggesting the reason we haven’t seen anything made of the N95’s accelerometer yet is because it’s all to do with gaming. With one of these little sensors on board, you can get up to all sorts of shenanigans, possibly making the next-gen Nok’s some of the hottest mobile gaming devices out there. Accelerometer-driven Pinball anyone? How about Magic Marbles. And, with a big old touch-screen looming, things look set to get even hotter.
