The wonders of Bluetooth
Back in the day, the most exciting thing about Bluetooth was the prospect of getting Bluejacked. Now though, things have moved on. The prospect of toothing is a bit more appealing and with the arrival of Bluetooth stereo, we’re digging proper wireless music.
Bluetooth headsets don’t mean you have to look like an out-of-work chauffeur. Strap on a pair of Nokia’s monster Bluetooth DJ cans and you’ll be breaking stop beats without the need for wires. You don’t need to shout loud if you don’t want, Etymotic Research recently unleashed its Ety8 wireless ear plugs which sport Bluetooth stereo and dinky boxes to plug into your lugholes. Definitely the neatest wireless music solution on the block.
Cracking beats should be shared though and now a raft of new devices have hit the homestead and are just waiting to unleash the power of your Nok’s music. Hook yourself up with a Bluetooth-enabled stereo at home and you can suck tunes directly from your blower. Good devices will recognise an incoming call and drop the music so you can take the call, all without taking your blower out of your pocket.
Using similar tech, you can pick up a pocketable Bluetooth speaker which doubles as a car kit and conference call speaker. Totally portable and with spot on sound it keeps the fuzz at bay when you’re making calls on the move and because it’s an all-in-one unit, you can take it from car to car.
See, there’s a lot more to Bluetooth than you might think. Some of it is even quite useful.
